At Ayoub Carpet and Service, we clean all types of rugs! Oriental and area rugs are different in their construction, fibers and dye lots. We understand these differences and that is why we use the most advanced in-plant cleaning process to fit each individual rug.

Our traditional hands-on process for cleaning and repair, coupled with the latest technology provides the most comprehensive way of caring for your investment.

Most Oriental rugs are hand or machine woven on cotton, silk or wool foundations. The pile is usually comprised of wool, dyed with vegetable or synthetic dyes. A true expert is trained to recognize the complexities of rugs, which helps avoid unnecessary problems associated with cleaning.

Mothproofing
If your rug has been rolled up or stored away for an extended period of time we recommend that your rug be cleaned and mothproofed. A dirty rug can attract wool-eating insects.

 Hand-Washed Rug Cleaning Procedure:

1. Inspect areas prior to cleaning.
2. Dust rugs to remove dry soils.
3. Pre-spot for any oil or grease stains.
4. Immerse rugs in cold water to loosen and suspend soils deep within the rugs.
5. Hand shampoo with approved cleaning detergents by the Wools of New Zealand.
6. Hand scrub soiled fringes.
7. Thoroughly rinse all soils and detergents out of rugs with cold water.
8. Remove water with high volume water extractor.
9. Apply conditioning agents as needed, groom nap and dry in climate controlled drying room.
10. Final inspection of rugs for maximum results.
